Just
Cruisin’
For those of
you who would love a day on the water, but do not care to fish,
some of the best and most scenic cruising available on Cape Cod
is reachable from our slip at Kingman Yacht Center.
Located near the west-end entrance to the Cape Cod Canal,
access to both Cape Cod Bay and Nantucket Sound is readily
available.
For a day of
fun, take a cruise through Woods Hole, past the Oceanographic
Institute and Nobska Light, along Martha’s Vineyard and the
Elizabeth Islands: stop at Tarpaulin Cove for a swim and picnic.
Pass by many more lighthouses and historic spots about
which Captain Bob is well-versed.
Or, if you
have romance in mind, take a sunset cruise through the Cape Cod
Canal to see the Railroad, Bourne and Sagamore bridges from a
completely different perspective.
You can even end your cruise with drinks and dinner at
The Chart Room, located at the top of the gangplank from my
slip. (The Chart
Room is a locals’ haunt, known for its great New England
cooking and fun atmosphere.
But beware, especially on weekends, reservations are
definitely required.)
For Cruise excursions, the Lemke-Ann can accommodate up to six people.
